The TailGators roll out a memorable and engaging night of live country music and throughout the night we teach and call a great array of line dances and barn dances.
We’ve done over 400 events and will have you up on the dance floor within minutes.

Unlike Bollywood, Hollywood, Vegas, Hawaii, Great Gatsby, Disco or other themed events on offer- Nashville Nights is a genuinely original offering and was the first in the Australian market to offering American Country & Western themed events. We remain unique– other events will have a DJ with a line dancing instructor with a backing track but for a real night… you need a live band seamlessly integrated with the called line dances.
Nashville Nights features its own live band- “The TailGators”- who set the atmosphere with iconic American Roadhouse & Country music mixed seamlessly with called barn dances, line dances, square dances and bush dances to create a night that is highly entertaining and extremely engaging.
The Nashville Nights themes are all variations on a core American Country and Western theme. The events we do are branded as: Wild West Nights; Boot Scootin’ Barndances; Hoedowns; Honkytonks; Cowboy & Cowgirl Rodeo Parties; Barndances; Country Fairs or Country Dances and the like.
The themes work because they are timeless, they are easy for people to dress up to, there are many matching catering options (such as spit roasts, sliders, BBQs and burgers), there are great add-ons (such as mechanical bulls and alley games), the music has a broad appeal, and in particular- the called dancing interwoven throughout the night creates a whole atmosphere of its own.
Nashville Nights was created in response to an increasing number of corporate clients wanting a country & western themed event for evening entertainment at conferences or staff parties. There is also a demand amongst clients for something that is new and truly original in the corporate entertainment marketplace. The team building aspects of the called dancing have also been highlighted as more and more corporates look for team building activities that are new, original and bring the whole team together in unison instead of into competing groups.
Nashville Nights work with our clients in a variety of ways. We are entirely flexible and are able to:
- Provide “The TailGators” and production sufficient for the band, with catering, theming, venue management etc. entirely in your hands; or
- Provide the band and work with your event manager or production team where we can provide advice in pre-production on theming, venue choice, engagement of additional suppliers, structure of the night etc.; or,
- Arrange the entire event for you including the band, full production, catering, venue management, theming, engagement of additional suppliers by partnering with one of our select event/ production companies.
About Michael Buining
Nashville Nights featuring “The TailGators” is a creation of Michael Buining, a Sydney based musician. Michael founded and performs as “Swamp Dawkins” and also founded and performs with “The Roadhouse Regulars”. He is a composer and recording artist of original and commissioned work and has released four albums with radio airplay across Australia including a Top10 single in 2019. He has performed publicly at music festivals and large public events as well as hundreds of functions for corporate conferences, staff & client events, weddings, private parties & community groups.
Prior to focusing on music he worked in Australia, the US, Europe, Latin American and Asia in a career spanning 20 years with one of Australia’s leading finance companies. Having worked in the corporate sector at the highest level, he understands what corporate clients need and is not your typical musician.
